Dr Gambrill has extensive experience in the food manufacturing industry in senior management positions. He has wide-ranging experience in organisational change, including manufacturing strategy and culture development, Greg has also worked with government, public health and industry groups on various initiatives involving food regulatory change and risk management. More recently he was involved in the development of the Australian government food rating system, the Health Star Rating. 

In 2025 Greg was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) in recognition of his outstanding service to science, community health and wellbeing
